Death-Sentence-3_CAn absolutely engaging piece of fiction that highlights the fatal flaws of humanity while exemplifying some worthwhile character traits.  I have to hand it to the creative team I had no idea what I was in for and after I cracked the first page they had my attention.

The simple enough creation of worthwhile obstacles allowed the script to reach new highs, or lows, depending on the perspective of the intrepid follower. In short: MontyNero impressed me in all the right ways.  The author nailed the drives of his primary cast, while also allowing moments to embody their comedic and disturbing implications.  I can’t stress enough how much the text worked here, but there were some off moments where an overabundance of narration dragged down the pace to an unnecessary crawl.

Beyond the consistent cadence of the plot, the art done by Mike Dowling is exemplary.   The talent effortlessly crafts some very complicated visuals while maintaining rather realistic forms.  I appreciated the use of both thick and slender lines in order to convey natural looking backgrounds and individuals.  One of the best moments was actually a simple conversation that took a rather nasty turn.  Whether it was talking or evading, the renditions were up to the task.

Death Sentence #3 is without a doubt a stellar comic book that makes my job easy because it comes highly recommended.
