DARTH MAUL Actor Ready To Return For STAR WARS EPISODE 7

Who wouldn’t want a shot at the new Star Wars flicks? Everyone in the previous trilogies has voiced their interest (even though Harrison Ford went out of his way to play hard to get), and now another fan favorite has chimed in.

Ray Park, the man responsible for bringing Darth Maul to the big screen, has briefly commented on STAR WARS EPISODE 7 and whether he’d like to return.

Here’s what he said:

“Just give me food and water, and I’m there,”

Short, sweet, and to the point.

As much as I love Darth Maul (he was one of my favorite characters in the Prequels… as he was with everyone, I’m sure) I really despise the whole concept of resurrecting dead characters. The Star Wars Expanded Universe is littered with clone Emperors and ghost Sith, so I’d prefer if J.J. Abrams took the series in an entirely new direction, where death wasn’t meaningless and there’s a weighted cost to every fight scene.

Although, the Clone Wars animation managed to handle Darth Maul’s resurrection pretty well (giving him some chromed out legs). Still, we should leave that be. How about a spin-off movie instead, starring Ewan Mcregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi and Park as Maul, as the two traverse the afterlife as ghosts, and fight each other with ghost lightsabers?  Or perhaps a buddy comedy?  That could work too.

Ghost vs Ghost is alright in my book. Ghost vs. Living is where I draw the line!
