Wii U Owners Will Be Able to Play LEGO BATMAN 2 After All!

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes has been released for pretty much every single console in the market: PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo DS, the Wii, Xbox 360, and even the Mac OS. I guess Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment wanted to cover all their bases. But Wii U owners can rejoice now, because Warner Bros. has announced that LEGO Batman 2 will be released for the Wii U soon!

There isn’t an exact release date yet for the Wii U port, but Warner Bros. assures us that the street date will be this Spring. The Wii U version will even come with exclusive features, like an “interactive map”, and the choice of playing the whole game on the Wii U’s Gamepad, if you want to for some reason.

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes was originally released on June 19, 2012 for most of the above-mentioned consoles, and on September 2012 for the OS. LEGO Batman 2 is also receiving a DTV animated movie, Lego Batman: The Movie: DC Super Heroes Unite, which is being released on DVD and Blu-Ray May 21, 2013. The film will use the same voice cast as the original video game.

I’ve never played any DC’S LEGO video games, but I suppose if I did, playing it on the Wii U could be fun. I’m looking forward to Marvel’s upcoming LEGO game, though.
