DC Entertainment and Rocksteady Studios have just released a new trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight, showing off some gameplay footage and a closer look at the games titular villain. Needless to say, it had me saying ‘Holy must pre-order Batman!’ by the end.
The trailer starts off with Batman infiltrating ACE Chemicals (aka the birthplace of The Joker) to rescue workers that are being held hostage by the Arkham Knight and his army. It’s here that viewers can really see the game’s new “Fear Takedown” technique, along with some new environmental combat moves. What’s also highlighted is the many functions of the game’s new Batmobile, such as creating a makeshift entrances into buildings, taking down some guards (non-lethally, but painful), launching Batman high into the air, or transporting civilians to safety. I can’t wait to tear through Gotham City with this behemoth on wheels.
Believe it or not, this is actually the first of three gameplay videos showing off Batman’s visit to Ace Chemicals. The second will go live December 1st at 9 a.m. PT, while the third will be shown on December 6th during Sony’s keynote presentation at PlayStation Experience. Like I said before…
