MORTAL KOMBAT DLC in INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US?

You read that title right! Today, Warner Bros. announced an interesting update to the Injustice roster via DLC: Scorpion, from the Mortal Kombat video game series. The download date has not been confirmed yet, and interestingly, only the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 were mentioned in the report, not the Wii U!

Oh, and Scorpion already has his own trailer!

Some of the reception to this news has been mixed. People were hoping that this game would only feature DC characters. After all, most DC fans might not really care about Scorpion. After all, why waste digital space on him when we could be getting Martian Manhunter, Darkseid, or other fan-favorites?

It should be noted that Injustice: Gods Among Us and the new Mortal Kombat were both developed by NetherRealm Studios, so I’m not too surprised about this. Would it help if I said that DC artist Jim Lee has given Scorpion a re-design specifically just for this game?

Injustice: Gods Among Us was released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U consoles on April 16. The game has gotten critical praise, and has already been awarded “Best Fighting Game” by the Game Critics Awards.
