Launch Trailer and Opening Cinematic For INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US Streamed!

With Injustice: Gods Among Us being released in only 3 (!) days, I think its neat how we’re still getting stuff. IGN is now streaming a launch trailer and the opening cutscene for the fighting game, and I must say, both are pretty sweet.

The launch trailer might be the most “theatrical” trailer so far, and I think fans will enjoy it. Epic action, epic gameplay, epic lines (“I live to kill you”), epic music, etc. I think its cool that DC and Warner are heavily promoting the game. You can tell that the game had a lot of love put into it.

The opening cinematic features Superman confronting The Joker, interupting Batman’s interrogation. The encounter doesn’t end pretty, but I doubt that anyone expected it to, seeing as how Joker blew up Metropolis, and caused Superman to murder Lois Lane and her unborn son. Yeesh. The cutscene is well-done, featuring solid voice acting from veterans.

Injustice: Gods Among Us will finally be released on Tuesday for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. NetherRealm Studios (Mortal Kombat) is in charge of the gameplay. A tie-in comic is also currently being published.

With DC’s big fighting game just over the horizon, I have to wonder if DC has it made with video games. The recent Batman video games have gotten tons of praise, and if Injustice can also manage that, I think DC Comics and video games might have a nice future!
