WONDER WOMAN will be a DEMIGOD

Well it looks like the creative heads behind Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice have taken notice of the latest run of Wonder Woman comics by Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang. Because her re-vamped origin is now apparently the basis for Gal Gadot‘s iteration of the icon.

The fine folks over at Badass Digest uncovered this tidbit:

Producer Charles Roven confirms it in no uncertain terms in this video (it’s a very, very short clip).

I know there are many out there that feel like the original one featuring a Diana of Themyscira born from clay should not be tampered with, but from my perspective I loved the New 52 take. And anything borrowed from the last three years will no doubt make for cinematic magic in my book.

It was a good narrative decision because a Wonder Woman born from Zeus and the Amazons felt like a truly worthy heroine that was downright ready to go toe to toe with Superman if need be.

But what do my fellow fanboys and fangirls think? Does this sound good? Or are you just not looking forward to seeing this rendition of the holy superheroic trinity on screen?
