Meet the ALL-NEW, ALL-DIFFERENT AVENGERS (kind of)

After a sluggish series of semi-reveals the House of Ideas has finally released a cover for their All-New, All-Different Avengers. And keep in mind this roster is based off of a post-Secret War environment so if you were hoping for big changes following that mammoth event you might be a bit disappointed.

Either way check ’em out below in all their assembled glory!

FCBD All New, All Different Avengers

Thanks to some sleuthing over at Comic Book Resources we know that the creative team behind this Free Comic Book Day offering happens to be Mark Waid and Mahmud Asrar. So on that front I’m exceedingly excited to pick this up but on the other hand I’m not sure how I feel about who’s out and in. I’m excited to see that female Thor is still around surviving her gimmick status, Ms. Marvel continues to be awesome, our current Ultimate Spider-Man survived the fallout and Nova is on the team. But why is Iron Man, Captain America and The Vision there?

Maybe it’s just me but I was hopeful that this team would lose old leadership and instead embrace new blood. In whatever form the Marvel Universe takes when the dust settles, this iteration of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes needed to make a powerful statement about the reborn aspect of the entire line’s continuity. But instead it’s more of the same with characters switched around with a Human Rocket to boot.

But what say you my fellow fanboys and fangirls are you on board with this latest team-up? What other characters should have made the cut? And since Miles Morales is present and accounted for does that mean that Peter Parker is gone now? And how about original Thor, where’s he?

Sound off with your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below!

The End
