GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Cartoon Heading to DISNEY XD!

With the Guardians of the Galaxy film nearly out, it will come to no surprise that the space heroes are also getting the small screen treatment. The series is heading to Disney XD, and while no date was given, 2015 seems like a safe bet.

Today at Comic-Con, Marvel had a whole panel just for their animation department. The Guardians animation news was undoubtedly the biggest news, even if everyone saw it coming. After all, the Guardians have been getting star treatment lately. A clip, featuring Rocket Raccoon and Star-Lord, was also shown.

SVP Production and Creative Director Eric Radomski also mentioned that the Guardians would appear in future episodes of Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble, and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., although it should be noted the Spider-Man one already aired in North America earlier this month.

Meanwhile, current Marvel cartoons Avengers Assemble and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. were renewed for a second season each. Surprisingly, it seems the latter will take place mostly in space. Guardians of the Galaxy cross-over? No word on a Spider-Man renewal, which makes sense, since the show’s current season is supposedly the last. An episode of Spider-Man was played during the panel, though.

Seasons 2 of Avengers Assemble and Hulk will premier this Fall, along with season 3 of Ultimate Spider-Man on Disney XD. Are you guys excited for all the shows, or does Marvel’s recent track record leave you cold?
