Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome not picked up for ongoing – gets badass trailer

We can only assume that the reason that Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome, which serves as a prequel to the latest Battlestar Galactica TV series, hasn’t been picked up by network SyFy is because they are cheap bastards, because let’s be honest the trailer makes it look AWESOME! I still haven’t got round to watching the last series of Battlestar Galactica, but I have heard great things, and it was on my must watch list already, but this trailer for its prequel only makes me want to watch it even more.

The prequel series was supposed to chronicle the adventures of young William Adama (played by Luke Pasqualino) during the Cylon War, which fans of the most recent series will know was a significant story component. It’s rumoured that the show employed ALOT of visual effects rather than physical sets and constructs, and was set to feature a lot more action than its predecessor, which is presumably why SyFy haven’t optioned it for a small series.

The pilot will air as a special two-hour TV movie however, which means we will all get a glimpse of what could have been, and hey another network may decide to pick it up (Netflix I’m looking at you here, bite the bullet).
