ANIME MONDAY 4/1/13

Hello & Welcome to another edition of ANIME MONDAY, right here on Unleash The Fanboy. I am you’re favorite dark skinned otaku Marcell and we have some more good helpings of anime for you (does the body good). Team Natsu squares off against Eisenwald in “Fairy Tail”, The next victim of the Midnight Channel is revealed in “Persona 4”, Kirito & Asuna bring the murder case to a close in “Sword Art Online”, and we have special treat for you on this wonderful April Fool’s day; NEW ANIME. We dive deep into the desert as we add “Magi: Labyrinth of Magic” to our line up. Now without further delay let’s get started.

Fairy Tail – “Fairies in the Wind”

This was a rather basic episode all things considered. While the fight scenes and different magical abilities introduced were nice, the animation was lackluster at times which is sadly a problem plagued by most shonen anime series. It was still a decent episode however, and how Team Natsu gets out of this jam will be interesting to see.

Persona 4: The Animation – “I’ll beat you and beat you good”

While nothing too exciting happens, this episode has more developments for both the characters and the case. There are few humorous moments (such as Chie calling Kanji gay and him chasing the four around town) as well as some slightly dramatic ones to keep the story flowing right. As the case rolls on can Yu & friends stop Kanji from entering the T.V.?

Sword Art Online – “Illusionary Avenger”

No real action this episode as it instead focuses on the atmosphere of the case and the factors surrounding it. The murder case is solved and we add another main character to the roster as Asuna starts to be featured alongside Kirito throughout the rest of the series. The fight to survive continues next week in SAO.

Magi: Labyrinth of Magic – “Aladdin & Alibaba”

“Aladdin & Alibaba” is a pretty good introductory episode to the series. Setting up characters, the world around them, and some of the strange things they will encounter on their travels. Magi: “Labyrinth of Magic” is a unique series and it will be nice to see how they flesh out the story in succeeding episodes.
