The very first teaser for Transformers 4: Age of Extinction debuted during last night’s Super Bowl (insert ‘beating a dead horse / Denver Broncos joke here) and it was a festivus of robot smashing action. Mixed with a heavy handful of Dinobots money shots, I’ve no doubt this will be the greatest Transformers yet.

You know… on account of all the Jurassic machines and such.

If you remember, we scooped the Dinobots in December of 2012.  Over a year ago!  Everyone poked fun at us, but we were damn sure right!

In any case, we’ve compiled a few screenshots from the video, highlighting the most notable additions. Specifically, Grimlock the Tyrannosaurus Transformer, Swoop the Pteranodon in Disguise, and Galvatron aka The Decepticon formerly known as Megatron.

Pretty badass, right? I know fandom loves to ridicule Michael Bay, and I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to jumping on the bandwagon a time or two in the past, but that glossophobic director creates some of the best fight scenes in cinema. In fact, just to piss off a few of you lovely fanboys and fangirls, I’d wager that Michael Bay would execute a better, more visceral Thor vs Hulk fight scene than the poopy one Joss Whedon provided.

BOOM. Let the war begin.

Oh, and in case you wanted to see the teaser trailer in full, here it is:
