UPDATE: There’s A Stark Industries Easter Egg In THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

Either this is just a nice little wink to the fans from director Marc Webb, it’s some cruel fan’s idea of a joke, or… We’re getting Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!!! As filming for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 continues in New York, an avid fan has sent in a set photo to io9 of a motorcycle. But this is no ordinary motorcycle… This is a Stark Industries motorcycle.

Last year Oscorp Tower nearly made it into the New York skyline of The Avengers, but had to be cut due to a tight post-production schedule. It’s likely that this is an easter egg put there by Sony as a nod to the MCU, but as fanboys we love to speculate and theorize… Which means it can also be the doorway to Spider-Man popping up in a Marvel Studios movie. Either way it’s pretty damn cool!

I live in Brooklyn and they’re shooting Spider-Man 2 a few blocks away. I walked by as they were unloading some costumes and noticed this motorcycle with a Stark Industries logo. Looks as if Marvel might be trying to bring these characters into a shared universe.

UPDATE: io9 just updated their article to say that this is actually just a local fan’s cool motorcycle, and it actually has nothing to do with the movie. Nothing to see hear folks, moving alone. It was fun while it lasted.
