Producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach (don’t worry, I don’t know who he is either) sat down with the Omelete to discuss the debut of their upcoming Spidey reboot. You know… The Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield as our favorite masked menace?

Well, the producing duo used this opportunity to address the fate of Spider-Man 4, the troubled continuation of Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire’s original trilogy. Surprisingly, and contrary to popular Hollywood legend, Arad claimed the project was axed in an amiable fashion because both parties realized their story kinda… sucked.
