Snoopy Dreams Big in First Official PEANUTS Movie Trailer

Though the first official trailer for “The Peanuts Movie” wasn’t supposed to debut until Thanksgiving Day, Fox Family decided to give us an early holiday present. If anyone asks, we’ll blame it on Woodstock…

The two-minute clip, which focuses on Snoopy’s alter ego of the World War I Flying Ace, is another nostalgic scene for the diehard “Peanuts” fans. With each release of footage, I’m becoming less and less skeptical about this film becoming like the live action Garfield movie (even as a diehard fan, I couldn’t give it a pass). Instead, my doubts are temporarily put at ease by the Christmas themes, the over the top scope of Snoopy’s imagination, and the overall Schulzian vibe of the trailer. The end was especially satisfying, as it showed that no matter how old these characters are, Charlie Brown will always be Charlie Brown.

The trailer dares us to never stop dreaming big, but now I’m sure that I and a few other fans can start to hope big.

The Peanuts Movie hits theaters on November 2015.
