RUMOUR: Dormammu Reportedly The Main Villain Of DOCTOR STRANGE

We’re only one movie into Marvel’s Phase II slate so far, however talk is already turning towards Phase III. Earlier this week the studio set two release dates in May 2016 and 2017 respectively, and one of those dates is almost definitely a Doctor Strange movie. Kevin Feige has been quite vocal for some time about his wishes to bring the Sorcerer Supreme to life for years and pretty much guaranteed the film a Phase III slot during promotion for Iron Man 3. There was even some previous rumours that the character would be introduced this November in Thor: The Dark World.

Latino-Review is back and this time they bring Doctor Strange news. If this movie is getting a 2016 release then Marvel is most likely already looking at directors and possibly actors to form the talent, which means there’ll probably be a story set in place. The notorious site reports that Strange will be facing off against three villains, consisting of Dormammu, Baron Mordo and The Mindless Ones.

Given ‘Eh Maybe”s track record, I’m going to remain skeptical about this one. It was incredibly obvious we’d see at least one of the top two villains in the movie, since they’re some of the few good villains associated with him in the comics, however since the movie has huge franchise potential I’m not sure they’d want to blow potential antagonists in one sitting. Dormammu is normally referred to as his arch-enemy, whereas Mordo was a fellow student of Strange who fell to ‘the dark side’ in a sense, the dark side being Dormammu.

The Mindless Ones are, as they’re called, mindless -aliens who do the bidding of whoever they are serving. They’ll most likely make up the army of either of the villains. Take this all with a grain of salt, but what do you think? Will we be seeing Dormammu and Baron Mordo in Doctor Strange? Share your thoughts below.
