INTERSTELLAR Begins Filming In Canada This August

So far with a cast of four consisting of Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and Michael Caine, Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar seems a bit far off pre-production completion yet. The script was written by Jonathan Nolan for Steven Spielberg way back in 2006, but when his brother boarded the project to direct this year he re-worked it with some original ideas of his. The film also has a November 7 2014 release date, so filming has to start pretty soon. Now we know when!

Production Weekly tweeted that the sci-fi epic (“a heroic interstellar journey that takes us to the borders of our scientific understanding”), under the production name “Flora’s Letter”, is scheduled to begin filming August 6th in Canada. The only known location so far was Iceland, so this news kinda comes as a surprise but it’s great to hear that we should know more about the hotly-anticipated project soon.
