HAROLD RAMIS, Star of GHOSTBUSTERS, Dead at 69

Very sad news to report today from the fanboysphere. Comedy legend Harold Ramis has died at the age of sixty-nine from autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis. According to all reports, he was surrounded by family when this happened.

Ramis was one of the defining figures in both comedy and science fiction. He cowrote and starred in Ghostbusters, one of the best science fiction films ever made. He also cowrote the script for comedy classic Animal House.

He is perhaps best known today for his career as a director, best known for the science fiction staple Groundhog Day and for the golf comedy Caddyshack. His more recent films included Analyze This and Year One.

His contributions to cinema will not be forgotten, and he will be surely missed.
