EXCLUSIVE: Boba Fett star, Jeremy Bulloch, gives his thoughts on Star Wars Episode VII

Following last weeks news regarding Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm, and the announcement of a new Star Wars Trilogy we had a quick chat with Boba Fett himself, Jeremy Bulloch, about what his thoughts regarding the announcement of a new Star Wars Trilogy.

Hi Mr Bulloch, thank you for taking the time to speak with us quickly. This last week we had the news of Disney’s purchase of Lucasfilm, and immediately announced that they would be making Episodes VII, VIII and IX, could we just ask you for your thoughts on that?

‘Obviously it came as quite a shock to everybody, there must have only been a few people who knew about it, but I think in general it really came as a surprise. I always felt that there was more of a story to tell after Return of the Jedi, and always hoped that they would go back and do an Episode VII. I hope it really is good, and that they go back and capture that WOW factor that made the trilogy so great’
You played fan favourite Boba Fett in Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, would you like to see him return in Episode VII having escaped from the Sarlac Pitt?
‘It would be lovely to see Boba Fett back! The technology now exists to make his jet pack even more realistic and exciting’
You had a cameo in Revenge of the Sith as Captain Colton, would you like to be involved someway in the new trilogy, maybe don the armour again yourself?
‘Realistically I’m sure if Boba Fett were to return they would go with someone younger, but I’m still fit and can jump around. I’d love to be involved in some way, maybe a cameo as an ageing Bounty Hunter in the corner somewhere.’
Any other messages for Star Wars fans?
‘Let’s see what happens next. It’s with Disney now, and Disney have been good. People are going to be talking about it non-stop, especially once filming starts, and there will be rumours left right and center, ridiculous ones like ‘I heard Boba Fett jet packs around the world!’ so lets all just step back, wait, and see what happens’
Thanks you very much for your time Jeremy
‘My pleasure, thank you.’
