This newest rumor surrounding the BLACK PANTHER movie was fueled by a Tweet sent to the world wide webs late last night. Morris Chesnut, who you’ll remember from the recent (and somewhat funny, in that cringey kind of way) flick Identity Thief, let slip that…
It’s time to get familiar with the Black Panther character ! fb.me/Nsww5DYe

We all know how secretive top executive Kevin Feige likes to keep his casting choices, and with only Chestnut’s Tweet as our source, what the hell could all this mean? Is he auditioning for the role? Has he already been cast? Or has Marvel just now started to contact agencies for lead actors? The Tweet’s already been deleted, so we know that Chestnut received some kind of reprimand for boasting about this opportunity.
While I’m certainly happy to see the film progressing (no matter how unconfirmed the sources may be), I would prefer if Black Panther was actually portrayed by an African actor. Chris Hemsworth’s goofy British-esque accent is enough poor dialect for one film (love ya Thor!)
