Check Out This Cool Ass Fan-Made DOCTOR STRANGE Intro!!

Marvel’s upcoming slate is absolutely jam-packed; Ant-Man, Civil War, Spider-Man, Infinity War – just to name a few. All of these films have been dominating the conversation for the past few weeks yet the latter two are still fairly far away from release. A particular film which is much closer to release but not really achieving the same level of buzz is Doctor Strange.

The Sorcerer Supreme! The dick-ish surgeon! The goatee! Benedict Cumberbatch of Sherlock fame will be playing the superhero next November, but aside from cast additions of Chiwetel Ejiofor and Tilda Swinton much of the details for the film have been kept a secret. It’s strange to think that, considering how open events like the Spider-Man casting have been. All we really know is that those three are in it, their roles, it’s directed by Scott Derrickson and it will be released by Marvel Studios on November 4th 2016. That’s why it’s so refreshing to see cool fan-made content regarding the movie get made and slapped onto the interwebs.

Nerdist found the title sequence (via Bleeding Cool), which was produced by This Is Productions – Alex Silver in particular – and it’s quite evident that the guy is a big fan of ol’ Doc as he did a real bang-up job. I love the use of actual comic book art which gives it that very classical feel and how the animation blends between them, creating this very surreal tone which is exactly what Doctor Strange is supposed to be – trippy as fuck. Hopefully some poor intern at Marvel will come across this and pique their interest.
