It’s a Captain America: The Winter Soldier blitz today. After the leaked description of the first 10 minutes, Marvel have released a double news-whammy in the form of the film’s confirmed run-time, and the very first official snaps of Anthony Mackie’s Falcon.

First things first – it’s been confirmed that the sequel will have a healthy run-time of 136 minutes – that’s the second longest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet, and hopefully shows Marvel’s confidence in what the Russo brothers have served up for Cap’s second outing. Either that, or they were too lazy to cut it any further. Let’s hope it was the former.

And in other Winter Soldier news, Marvel have finally, after deciding to hold onto it for some reason, released Falcon’s character poster with him in full gear flapping about on a SHIELD Helicarrier. Looks like he’s going to be one angry bird.*

Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits cinemas on April 4 and stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L Jackson, Robert Redford, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders and Sebastian Stan.

*I’m sorry, and I won’t make that joke ever again.
