Bryan Singer Confirmed To Direct X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

A few days ago it was revealed that Matthew Vaughn wouldn’t be returning to helm the sequel to X-Men: First Class, the time-travelling X-Men: Days of Future Past and Bryan Singer was set to return to the franchise as director. Deadline confirmed this evening that Singer has reached a deal with Fox to direct the movie, and Vaughn is close to closing a deal to produce, along with writer Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner.

I can’t say I’m too thrilled about Singer returning to the director’s chair, as I dislike his movies (even X-Men and X2) and I would have much rather seen Matthew Vaughn return, as X-Men: First Class is one of my favourite comic book movies and a fantastic achievement, given all the production issues. However, I’ll still see the movie in cinemas and I really hope it will be great.
