Baron Zemo Won’t Wear His Iconic Mask in CIVIL WAR?!

Captain America Civil War

Oh boy.

This could be a big mistake.

Fans are excited about Captain America: Civil War. One of the things that fans are curious about is what the villainous Baron Zemo will look like and if they will make him anything close to the comics. Unfortunately, according to the actor Daniel Bruhl, he will not be wearing his iconic purple mask.

Baron Zemo is a scientist that creates a dangerous Adhesive X, which ends up sticking to his face later on during a fight with Captain America. This alteration though small, is still a pretty big deal since his mask is sort of a trademark.

“You would be surprised, it’s different than what you’d think. It’s loosely connected to this character. But that’s what I like about the Marvel guys, some of the characters and things they’re dealing with always reference to current events, so my character is from a different area than you would think.”

It’s a shame, as the mask is synonymous with the character, and I was looking forward to seeing him wear it throughout the film. Of course altering certain things from the comic book to the films is not unheard of and it has been done before.

What do you guys think? Will not having his purple mask be a deal breaker for you fans? Or do you just want to wait until the movie comes to decide? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Captain America: Civil War will release on May 6, 2016
