AVATAR 3D Blu-ray coming in OCTOBER

Whatever your opinions may be on the James Cameron directed box office smash the 3D version will be getting a market wide release this October.

James Cameron had this to say:

3D television is the future of home entertainment.  I’m a huge proponent of the technology and very pleased that ‘Avatar’ can be viewed in the living room the way it is meant to be seen.

And producer Jon Landau had this to add:

As the number of homes with 3D televisions continues to grow, we thought it was important to bring the biggest 3D film ever right into your living room.  This is the only way fans should experience the world of Pandora and this release offers the highest picture quality possible.

Previously the only way you could get this version of the film for your home viewing pleasure, was by buying it with a bundled Panasonic TV.  From the looks of it, this will be that exact same bare-bones release.  Sorry guys no new features or extended cut in this version.  You can look forward to picking it up on October 16th.
