Armie Hammer as The Dark Knight in THE JUSTICE LEAGUE?

Alright freaks and geeks, the rumor mill is in full churn again, and this latest one is quite a doozy.

A few years ago Warner Bros. attempted to make a Justice League live action film, filled with all of the heroes we’ve grown to love and cherish (and Aquaman too).  They eventually decided to scrap the project, mostly because they didn’t want viewers to confuse its continuity with Christopoher Nolan’s DARK KNIGHT SAGA, which was in the middle of its run.

Well, before they cancelled the whole endeavor, they had already approached a handful of actors to portray some onscreen heroes, among whom was Armie Hammer (now known for the upcoming flick The Lone Ranger).

He was chosen to play Batman, and guess what?  The WB wants him to play the ol’ grouchy Caped Crusader!  You know… if he isn’t still pissed about the previous debacle.

If this is credible, then I must say “Well done, WB”.  This is an actor who’s perfectly  suited to play a billionaire, playboy, philanthropist (Iron Man’s not the only one!).

We’ve still not heard whether Henry Cavill will play Superman in JL, or any of the other casting choices, for that matter.

Now, with this little bit of insider info known, I’ve gotta ask, what do you think?

Is Hammer the one for us?  Or do you have someone else in mind?
