ANDREW GARFIELD Might be SPIDER-MAN Until 2020

The Daily Star reports that Amazing Spider-Man star, Andrew Garfield, has been offered a multi-million dollar deal to play Spider-Man until the year 2020.

“Andrew is already contracted to make two more films for release in 2015 and 2016,” said a senior source at Columbia Pictures.

“We are looking forward to tie him to the role for as many as a further four pictures given the huge success the franchise is enjoying… The part is pretty much his for as long as he chooses.”

The Daily Star’s report also adds that Andrew Garfield is even being offered a box office profit-sharing deal to get him to stay on as Spider-Man for the next six years.

We know that Amazing Spider-Man 3 will be released June 2016 in the US, but what is this film that’s coming next year?

So far, Sony has announced that they will be doing two spin-off films, Venom and Sinister Six but a 2015 date seemed too soon for either of those films to materialize.

This is a surprise even to Unleash The Fanboy, so we’ve decided to send in our best investigative reporting team to infiltrate an executive meeting at Sony.

After our team managed to get through the front door, they stumbled on a couple of studio execs lounging around the water cooler. Striking up conversation, one of our reporters, Stephen Lemlek, tried to weasel his way into the executives’ conversation.

Stephen Lemlek: So how about that new 2015 film, huh? Pretty big news.

Exec #1: Uhhh… who are you?

Stephen Lemlek: I’m new here. My name is… (looking around for mundane every day objects) Ficus… uh… Plank. Ficus Plank.

Exec #2: Right. See you around.

Needless to say, Stephen nailed it. He’s in with the execs and they didn’t suspect a thing. Looking around for some more leads, our team managed to find Marvel Studios founder, Avi Arad, holding an office meeting.

“Okay, so we’ve got two for Chinese, one for pizza and four for Thai. Anything else?” said Avi Arad.

Another one of our reporters, Michael Moore, spoke out and said, “Actually, could I get a Spider-Man burger with a side of 2015 movie?”

Avi Arad and the other execs just stared at Michael, however, as if he said something really strange and erratic.

“Actually, I could just go for a pizza, no biggie.”

On their way out, the reporting duo decided to go through the staff kitchen’s fridge just in case the execs left any evidence there. There wasn’t any, leading the duo to believe that this 2015 film may not even exist.
