A Long, Long Time Ago… STAR WARS REBELS Hunting For Voice Actors

It seemed that animated Star Wars television shows are not over, especially with the new show Star Wars Rebels coming to us in fall of 2014. With the success of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars, it doesn’t surprise me one bit that another animated television show based on the popular movie series would come to life and I couldn’t be more excited. I loved the Clone Wars. I thought it was one of the best shows on Cartoon Network. I think my favorite was the Darth Maul segment, oh man, my inner Jedi screamed with joy at the battle between Darth Maul and Obi Wan, but I am getting off topic. The new exciting news about this is that they have several people in talks to voice the new show. These people include: David Oyelowo, Freddie Prinze Jr., Vanessa Marshall, Taylor Gray and Steven Blum. Now this is very exciting and has some great talent that is being looked into. I mean Steven Blum alone has voiced hundreds of characters in various anime and video games.

This new show takes place between episode 3 and 4, which is something that hasn’t really been explored yet. It is not being played on Cartoon Network but Disney XD. I figured this would happen with Disney buying LucasFilms. I really hope they show some of the transition of Anakin’s life from Jedi  to severely BBQ bad@$$ Darth Vader, oh how I can hope.
