The official description from Image:

Kate Kristopher makes a stand against sins past as the smash-hit series’ first arc reaches its bloody finale. SHUTTER WILL RETURN IN DECEMBER.

Shutter #6 previewWe’ve finally reached the end of Shutter‘s first arc, and following the shocking climax to last issue, along with Kate and Chris Jr.’s bonding session, I was eagerly looking forward to this. Not failing to disappoint, this epic finale sees Kate in asskicking form, with a huge revelation turning the series completely on it’s head.

Joe Keatinge produced quite possibly his best script on Shutter yet. Giving an excitingly gripping set of developments, Keatinge manages to have me hooked to ever panel, of every page, with Kate finally becoming the 100% badass that she’s promised to be. Despite this it was the way that Keatinge ended the issue that impressed me most, with it having a very natural conclusion, whilst also allowing fans to anticipate the next one.

Leila Del Duca has been killing it on the artwork, with her artwork on this issue being as beautiful as ever. Matched with Owen Gieni‘s washed out colours, the stunning artwork proves lively at every corner, with the vibrance radiating off of it. The detail and layout also prove as enticing as ever, with the solid lines, as shaded texture adding depth to what is already wonderful illustrations.

Shutter‘s first arc comes to an awesome finale, with the revelations and exciting events within having me hooked for the second arc, with December not coming soon enough. Highly recommended.
