ManifestDestiny11_Page2Manifest Destiny has made a stellar return to form over the last view issues, reminding me why I became so enthralled with this concept in the first place. This issue however makes the previous ten look average, with the phenomenal series of events taking things to an entirely new level. It also manages to bring the whole giant frog scenario to a gripping climax, allowing our Lewis and Clark to continue their journey into peril.

Chris Dingess has been doing an amazing job on this series, as though there were moments at the end of the first arc, and start of this arc, on the whole it has been a fantastic series. Dingess has however left his best till now, with the intensity levels going to max and beyond. What especially enthralled me however was Lewis’ reaction to events, and how the along with Clark they managed to give a fitting, and entertaining solution to their predicament.

Matthew Roberts art has been the standout feature of this tale, but the artist had a run for his money when it came to competing with Dingess’ script. The artist does manage to match the quality, as though one isn’t better than the other this time round, it’s still an enticing factor. The eye catching moment didn’t come till near the end, as though the flow was very fluid and dynamic, Lewis’ intense moment was mindblowingly awesome. Owen Gieni‘s colours are also as ever very impressive, with his choice of bold, vivid colours capturing the tone of this tale brilliantly.

Manifest Destiny #11 is something that all fans need to read, as whether you’re following this series or not, the events of this issue will definitely leave you begging for more. With intense developments, and the odd humorous interaction this is easily the best issue in the series so far, and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Highly recommended.
