Enter: Goodfoot the Sly. Is she here to help the wizards…or herself? [Hint: herself.]

ToothandClaw03-Page1-a3aa4Okay, so the last issue we had our “hero’s” having some problems with other animals that wish to enslave the good and make them a part of the evil culture. Well they decide that they don’t want to do that so they use some magic and summon this champion who is a man to fight and he does. After he wins, we ended the issue. This issue continues on with the after math of the attack and the characters really deciding if this guy is a hero or not. We get a look at the quarrels between the characters and the champion leaves for a bit. We do get a little look at where this guy may be from and that  he may not be human. Finally, we get a plan of the characters but Goodfoot, a fox, has come town and there may be more to her just being a nice person. It is really interesting and the ending is pretty cool.

Kurt Busiek is a pretty cool writer and creates these very large worlds but my big problem with this issue is that there are so many characters that it has become hard to follow. It is, also, frustrating because nothing is really happening but the animals argue that is about it. The issue does do some good things with character development.

Benjamin Dewey is a great artist and really has a lot to do with this series with different characters and places but he does it quite well.

THE AUTUMNLANDS: TOOTH AND CLAW #3 is a good issue but does have a couple of problems.
