Halo-4-Banner.jpg

A brand new series, from the head writer of Halo 4, is it worth the read? Well continue on and find out.

“Halo, the most celebrated video game series of all time, joins forces with Dark Horse for a thrilling new ongoing series! The UNSC flagship Infinity is assigned escort duty for a diplomatic mission between the Arbiter and a powerful chieftain of the Brute tribes—but when a rogue Covenant group attacks, it’s going to take all the firepower the Spartans have to keep the delegates alive!”

I am a huge nerd for the Halo series, and I think that Halo was a pioneer in the gaming industry that changed the way that games were played. It, also, had a wonderful story. It was something new and unique, so when comics come out about the Halo series, I have to say that I pay special attention to them. Let me say, that this series is280px-Halo_Escalation_1fantastic and for a first issue of a new series, it makes it feel even more exciting than usual first issues. There is excitement and emotions that fill the panels of each page.  It’s a series that is going to develop and become more and more exciting as it goes on.  I really enjoy everything about this first issue. I am hoping that it stays this way.

Chris Schlerf does a great job with the story. He introduces us into a world very swiftly and exciting. He lets you know the characters but it doesn’t dwell because there is a story that is to be had. He lets you get to know them and you move on with them. I really like this style of writing.

Sergio Ariño does a great job with the art. It feels futuristic and exciting. I think that it is something that people will really enjoy. It visually stunning and does a great job of being awesome.

Overall, I give it a five out of five.
