Ok, We’re Done Panicking, Captain Marvel Isn’t Coming Back From the Grave

We were pretty nervous there for a while, but after a quick word from Marvel scribe Kelly Sue DeConnick, it appears that Captain Marvel, the one who succumbed to cancer in the early 80’s (or late 70’s… the publication date is a bit muddled). Instead, Carol Danvers, better known to the world as the scantily clad heroine Ms. Marvel, will inherit the role.

We’re still not too sure about the specifics of the situation, but it looks like everything will be cleared up during the series’s official launch in July. Until then, we’ll bring you all the latest scoops from the world of fanboy-dom.
