Do you like justice? Do you like standing for what is right? And a gentlemen? Read on.

“Far away from Earth, on Gagarin Station—or “Brain Camp,” as its students call it—a young Kaidan Alenko undergoes his biotic training. During an exceptionally grueling lesson, Kaidan steps in to defend the lovely Rahna from the brutal Commander Vyrnnu—but his rash actions have tragic consequences!”

I have to say that I am a sucker for a hero. I mean really, who doesn’t like a hero. It is something that has been in our society for a very long time. Well, Kaidan, is no different then a hero and a damn good one at that. In this issue, we see our hero Kaidan in an exercise to work on his powers. However, when things start to get too intense of a fellow cadet. Kaidan makes a rash decision that has some very th (3)interesting consequences. The nice thing is that you get to see some raw power that is Kaidan. I feel that your going to understand what I mean by this when you check it out.

The writing for this issue is great. It really gives you the feeling for the character of Kaidan and his friend Rahna. Mac Walters does a great job with developing the relationship of the cadets and how they affect one another. It, also, shows that they are not monsters or going to become emotionless, which is what I feel that the academy is trying to do. Another great thing, is that you will understand where Mac is taking the relationship with Kaidan, which is great. He does a good job of foreshadowing what will come forth.

The art is something I would like to highlight because it couldn’t have been easy. Michael Atiyeh and Tony Parker do a great job with showing us how the powers of these students would look and visually it is stunning. You just have to see it to believe it.

Overall, I think that it is fun, exciting, and really raw human emotion. I give it a five out of five.
