The Lego Movie

lego-bannerFour character posters have been revealed for the upcoming Lego Movie. Yea that’s right I’m talking about the Lego Movie today. A lot of people will not see this movie because it’s “for kids.” I laugh at thought. I mean it’s definitely made for children, but who cares? Lego has produced some of the most addicting video games I have ever played. The games were highly entertaining and I expect the movie to be as well.

Looking at the cast list of the movie, I couldn’t help but be impressed. From at least a vocal work standpoint they got a lot of their casting dead on. Will Arnett will be amazing as Batman, like straight up awesome.

Morgan Freeman is Vitruvius, who is a mystic. Will Farrell will be playing some sort of villain named Lord Business, no further explanation needed. Then there is Charlie Day as Spaceman Benny. There is no way that a guy named Spaceman Benny should be played by anyone besides Charlie Day, and if you don’t believe me then you are wrong.

He even kinda looks like Charlie

The rest of the cast is rounded out with Channing Tatum playing Superman, Cobie Smulders as Wonder Woman, Jonah Hill as Green Lantern (we’ll see on this one), and significantly more stars playing random people.

The plot of the movie is about a man named Emmet (Chris Pratt) who is believed to be the chosen one who will save the Lego World with the help of Batman, Vitruvius, and a woman named Wyldstyle (Elizabeth Banks) from being glued together by Lord Business. That sounds like an amazing movie (and it’s in 3D!).
