Judge Dredd #18 Review

Things do not look good for our favorite Judge and his city, however, even then there might just be some hope.

While the Dark Judges prepare their ‘Affordable Death Care Act,’ a desperate Justice Department, facing mass-murder of unreal proportions, draws up an apocalyptic plan that will change the city forever. And the only person standing between the city and certain death-Judge Dredd-is a billion miles away on the Titan penal colony. But he turns out to have allies in the strangest of places.”

I do have to say that this newest arc in the Judge Dredd saga, is not only amazing but very dark and a little scary. The dark judges are fantastic because of amount of doom they ensue. My favorite part of any story is showing that a hero could fail and then they coming back, but I am not sure if there are hopes for the city and the hero Judge Dredd. This issue was very dark and fantastic. Also, there is some hope left because Judge Dredd has some interesting allies that show up and you will never guess who is there.

The writing is just fantastic. It is developing into a great story and really adds a whole new dynamic. I think that there are some great moments and just an awesome story. I really do love it.

The art is a  nice change of pace. The tones are so dark, I have to believe that the art should match it and it does. It is creepy and eerie and just works out quite well. I love ever second of the visually stimulating art. You will like and love it at the same time.

Judge Dredd is developing and showing it’s emotional side, with some great visuals.
