The New DC Villain 3D Covers Have Jumped Into My Heart

This last week, in honor of DC’s Villain month and it’s two year anniversary of the New 52, DC released new 3D covers of their comic books but with a twist. That’s right, the original cover had been cut out and, instead, a villain took over.

Now if you are a true fanboy or girl, you already knew that this was coming out, just like I did but, I thought maybe this would be kind of lame. But as I walked into my local comic shop just looking around, I saw them and my jaw dropped. These DC covers are one of the coolest things that I have seen any comic book company do in a very long time. If you haven’t already gotten to see one, then I recommend you go and pick one up. The picture on the page really does pop at you with vibrant colors, cool images, and, usually, a trademark weapon coming right at you. However, what I didn’t know is that they had one of Mr. Freeze.

Now none of you know this but Mr. Freeze is my favorite tragic villain ever. I say tragic because his story is one of the saddest that I have read about. You don’t get the full affect of the cover from this picture but let me tell you that, being his biggest fan, my inner fan boy jumped and screamed without shame. There are several other covers that include; The Riddler, Two Face, Bizzaro, and more. I am telling you check them out and snatch them up.

I do have  a feeling that this won’t be the last time we see something like this, but I do have to wonder what will Marvel do to try and trump DC?
