For all of you who would rather be locked inside playing games this summer, fear not! Microsoft is catering to your annual needs with it’s continuing promotion ‘Summer of Arcade’. In years past this has been a great showcase for some of the best downloadable games to hit the system. Check out the sizzle trailer below to see what Microsoft have in store for you this year:

I’m not sure which of Microsoft’s peripherals lets you play Xbox while surfing but luckily I’m not sure it’s required to enjoy this batch of games. Major Nelson has recently posted on his blog with details for pricing and release dates for these games. Here they are:
Brothers: a Tale of two Sons – August 7th for 1,200 Points
Charlie Murder – August 14th for 800 Points
Flashback – August 21st for 800 Points
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows – August 28th for 1,200 Points
If you buy any two games, Microsoft will gift you a Souls Pack for Ascend: Hand of Kul.
While this may not be as exciting as years past with big names such as Braid and Shadow Complex, the joy of indie games is their endless potential to surprise you so keep an eye out for the next big indie gem.
It’s understandable things are winding down towards the end of the generation but will Microsoft’s last Summer of Arcade for 360 go out with a bang? Let us know if there are any in particular you are looking forward to in the comments below. Until then, that trailer filled us with an irresistible temptation to watch Point Break for the 80th time, peace out dudes.
