STEAM Holiday Sale Begins!!!

It’s that time once again, when wallets cower in fear and hide in cupboards as the big bad Valve bogey monster prepares to drain them of all their precious cash. With banner sales such as Borderlands 2 – 50% off, Hitman: Aboslution – 50% off and Deus Ex: Human revolution – 75% off, you’d be a fool not to take advantage of these amazing games up for criminal prices.

Steam sales have become known as a time of joy and despair for many computer gamers. Sure you have all of the fantastic experiences sat on your hard drive ready to melt your eyeballs, but you also spent all of your food money on Farming Simulator 2013 because for half off, how can you not?!

Make sure to check back each day for the daily deals Steam put up, but for now, have a look at some of these bundles of brilliance:

First up is Valve themselves!

With access to upcoming MOBA, Dota 2 included in the pack this is already a pretty sweet deal, but having Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Portal 2, Left for Dead 2 and Half Life 2 thrown in makes it unmissable. If you need a crash course in Valve, there’s never been a better time!

Bethesda

This bundle has enough hours of content to single handedly build an ark to survive the inevitable End of the World flood (probably should have got to work on that sooner), but instead you could retreat into the worlds of Skyrim and Fallout 3, two incredible open world games that need playing. Beyond this is the highly praised, Game of the Year nominee, Dishonored. A fantastic action/stealth assassiny title filled with gore and goodness that your year isn’t complete without.

Indie Games

2012 has been a banner year for indie titles and there is no better way to celebrate that than this collection of 30 of the greatest indie games on the Steam store. The value and quality of this pack is staggering, with a huge variety of titles to keep any type of gamer entertained. If you’re looking for something different, something innovative or just something with a good story, look no further.

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and Natural Selection

I couldn’t end this article in good conscience without mentioning these two games. The first, Chivalry is a glorious multiplayer clusterduck (I wish this was a thing) focusing on sword and shield fighting. While the core gameplay is fun, it’s the glitches and community that make this one a blast to play. The second is Natural Selection 2. An online shooter. Yeah, you’ve heard it all before… BUT WAIT! In this game you get to play Dinosaurs vs Space Marines, and there are few things more satisfying than rampaging as a triceratops!

Who’s an ickle pweety triceratops? Onos is!
