Get Ready to Rumble With Pokemon Rumble 3!

The Pokemon franchise keeps getting larger and larger. Last week, we posted about the next Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game. Now, Nintendo, via Corocoro Comics (a Japanese manga magazine) has announced a third installment in the Pokemon Rumble video game series.

The third game, which is so far un-titled, is currently in development, and will be released on the Wii U eShop. The game will hold up to four players, and with a new game engine, up to 100 Pokemon can be on-screen at once (talk about chaotic!). Every single Pokemon from the first five generations will be included. However, Pokemon from X and Y will not be included.

The first Pokemon Rumble game was released on the WiiWare in Japan and North America in 2009, and was the first ever Pokemon video game to be rated E10. The second game, Pokemon Rumble Blast, was released for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan and North America in 2011, and was the first Pokemon game released for that console. The game was later re-released on the Nintedo eShop in December 2012. Both games were developed by Ambrella (Pokemon Channel).

The Pokemon franchise, which was created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1996. The multi-million dollar franchise has spawned various video games, an anime series that has been running since 1997, several theatrical films, several manga and books, and a best-selling trading card game.

I’ve never played any Pokemon Rumble games, but they sound interesting. Maybe I’ll give the 3DS one a try.
