E3 2012: Assassin’s Creed III News Round-up!

It may have been a day at E3 with a number of game and technical reveals, but Assassin’s Creed earned a lot of the focus with some big announcments and live demos at several press conferences.

At the Ubisoft press conference alone there were two trailers and a live demo all dedicated to Assassin’s Creed III.

Meanwhile, at the Sony press conference there were two big announcements regarding two different Sony systems that are both set to be bundled with two different Assassin’s Creed games.  Yes, you read that right, two different Assassin’s Creed games.

First we have Assassin’s Creed III on the PlayStation 3, bundled with the system.  From the image shown at the conference it looks like your standard PS3 bundle, nothing truly amazing to report here, except exclusive DLC that will only be made available to people who purchase this bundle.

Secondly was the reveal of the PlayStation Vita exclusive, Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation.  The new title had been rumored (see our article here) but now it’s a fact.  It will be coming by itself or in a bundle with a white PSV system, 4gb memory stick and when connected with Assassin’s Creed III on the PlayStation 3, the two games will unlock exclusive content .

Also at the show was a trailer for Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation:

There was also a live demo of the ocean battles in Assassin’s Creed III:

To close out the day a final look was given to Game Trailers regarding one of the numerous locations in Assassin’s Creed III, Boston:

Assassin’s Creed III is due out on October 30, 2012 on the PC, PS3 and the Xbox 360.

Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation is due out on October 30, 2012 on the PS Vita.
