THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Blu-ray Deets

The Amazing Spider-Man is still swinging around theatres, but Sony’s already prepared for the flick’s home release.

I’ve only seen the flick once at the cinema, but it definitely deserves another viewing on the big screen.  At the risk of angering our Nolanite fans, I think TASM is the best origin superhero movie ever, even though it suffered from a severe case of “too soon, bro” having followed so closely behind Raimi’s films.

Anyways, here are the Blu-ray deets and pics from our friends at Blu-ray.com (original name, I know).

Amazon has posted pre-orders for Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb), including a Limited Edition 3D set “with figurines”. According to the number of pre-order listings, at least 4 edition variations will be released if not more, ranging in price from $25.19 to $67.19 for the LE.

There’s the standard 2D listing, a 3-disc Combo 2D set with DVD and UV Digital Copy, a 4-disc 3D Combo set and a The Amazing Spider-Man 3D LImited Edition set, which is exclusive to Amazon, mentioning “figurines” which would seem to imply that it might be different from the one available for pre-order from Amazon in Germany, which comes with one full figurine Spidey ready for action complete with base.

No details about specifications or supplements of the discs at the time.
