Superman Will Face A Terrifying Force In BATMAN V SUPERMAN: Washington D.C.

Zod and his cronies may have wreaked havoc on Smallville and Metropolis in Man of Steel, but it’s fair to say that Superman was responsible for quite a bit of damage also. Well, despite him defeating Zod and saving the citizens of Metropolis (well, some of them), don’t think his role in the destruction will go unanswered.

Batman-News.com has learned that part of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will take place in Washington D.C., as seen by some leaked set photos of D.C. imprinted cars and buses.

As for why he’s hanging out there, well, let’s use say that Superman’s got some ‘splainin’ to do.

major action scene was shot in July in one of the big studios in Detroit. Without giving too much away… it involves Superman and the United States Capitol building in Washington D.C. (pictured above). Superman will have to answer for what happened at the end of Man of Steel. Half the public blames him for all the death and destruction. If it wasn’t for Superman being there, General Zod would have never come to Earth.

Well, technically they’re right, although frankly, I think they have it wrong. It’s not Superman’s fault that he was sent to Earth as a baby. It’s the only planet he’s ever known. They really should be upset with him because he didn’t spend enough time saving lives and most of his time punching Zod through buildings. Superman has gone up against some rough characters, but I fear he may have found his match with Washington’s politicians. They’re more bloodthirsty than most super villains are.

However, going off that description, it sounds like whatever hearing they put him through will be interrupted by some kind of threat, whether it’s one of Lex Luthor’s robots or just plain ol’ gun toting bad guys. I can picture Superman speaking to a committee member, and while talking, his super hearing picks up gunfire, forcing him fly out of the room quickly and head towards the danger. Remember, he told General Swanwick that he’s here to help, but it will be on his own terms. When choosing between dealing with politicians or saving lives, he’ll always choose the latter. Let’s just hope he learned his lesson and won’t smash up D.C. too much.
