Selina Kyle Channels Catwoman in Official GOTHAM Image

A day after we got our first official look at grizzled detective Harvey Bullock, Fox has released the next promotional image for its upcoming Batman series Gotham. This time, we gaze our eyes on young Selina Kyle, played by Camren Bicondova. Check it out!

Hehe, the buildings behind her made cat ears.

Selina is described as “a teenage orphan who is suspicious and wholly unpredictable. A street thief and skilled pickpocket, she’s dangerous when cornered.” This image comes hours after pictures were leaked of Bicondova on set in her pre-Catwoman gear, including wearing a nifty pair of goggle. These pictures also gave us our first look at David Mazouz as young Bruce Wayne.

Aside from looking older than a teenager (or maybe it’s just me), Bicondova’s Selina look gives off the pre-Catwoman vibe. The leather jacket and goggles are reminiscent of her look during Ed Brubaker and Darwyn Cooke’s Catwoman series.

Considering that Bicondova and Mazouz are on set together, this has me suspecting that Bruce and Selina will have a close relationship in the series long before they take on their costumed identities. I was hoping they’d mostly keep distance from one another throughout the series, but hey, this is a re-imagined prequel. If the writers want Brunce and Selina to be chummy, that’s their business. This better not be another Smallville in the making…
