Harrison Ford Leaves STAR WARS EPISODE 7 After Injury

Say it ain’t so!!! Our favorite interstellar smuggler, Harrison Ford, has fallen victim to an ankle injury on set of J. J. Abrams’s Star Wars Episode 7. In full Han Solo garb, the actor was placed on a stretcher and airlifted to a nearby hospital. While the injury is not life threatening in any way, it’s still a sad turn of events for the production. Sure, Harrison Ford is a pretty old fella, and the chance of sustaining a production halting injury increases with age, but it’s still sad to hear. Hell, Robert Downey Jr. suffered a similar fate on set of Iron Man 3, so these aren’t entirely limited to septuagenarians.

Here’s all the info we’ve on the subject:

“The Han Solo actor fell to the ground in agony and after medics assessed him on the M Stage at the studios close to spaceship the Millennium Falcon, he was taken by stretcher onto a helicopter for further treatment,”

“Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates.”

Man! I really hope this doesn’t affect production. Well, I suppose I should first state an obligatory “I hope Harrison Ford gets well soon”, but as a selfish, self righteous fanboy, I really just wanna see Star Wars Episode 7 asap. Han Solo should die at the end of this flick, if Ford gets his way, so it’s not like he has too much left to do. Come on Harrison Ford! Finish the fight!
