die hard… Die Hard…. DIE HAAAAAARD!!!!!

In case you couldn’t tell from the title I bloody love Die Hard, yes even Die Hard 4 (except the ridiculous harrier jet scene!), so to say I am psyched for another outing with my favourite ‘hard on his luck’ cop is an understatement.

Fox yesterday announced  that the coveted role of Jack McClane for the 5th Die Hard outing, entitled ‘A Good Day to Die Hard’, has gone to Spartacus: Blood and Sand star Jai Courtney, narrowly beating out Liam Hemsworth.

Courtney was approved by 20th Century Fox and director John Moore, as well as John McClane himself Bruce Willis.

20th Century Fox also revealed the official synopsis for the upcoming movie:

“A Good Day to Die Hard puts McClane on an international stage — truly a NYC fish out of water in Moscow — and introduces his estranged son Jack. An apple that has not fallen far from the tree, Jack may even be more of a hardass than his father. Despite their differences, they must work together to keep each other alive — and the world safe for democracy.”
