ANIME MONDAY 4/8/12

Hello & welcome fellow otakus to ANIME MONDAY right here on Unleash the Fanboy. I am your ever gracious host Marcell, as always here to navigate you through the waters of some of Japans best offerings in animation. It’s Natsu V. Erigor in a wizard showdown in “Fairy Tail”, Yu & the others go to rescue Kanji from a bath house in “Persona 4”, Kirito goes on a quest to make a sword and fights a DRAGON in “Sword Art Online”, and Alibaba & Aladdin enter the dangerous dungeon  Amon in “Magi”. Let’s get started.

Fairy Tail – “Flame & Wind”

Another decent episode. The animation hits better than last time and the introduction of Virgo was nice. Not as much action in this one, but the fight between Natsu & Erigor looks promising as we see just how Natsu will be able to use his flames to defeat the “Reaper”.

Persona 4: The Animation – “Suspicious Tropical Paradise”

This episode once again ventures into the mind of another victim of the T.V. world. There is certainly more action in this episode, and a few humorous moments thrown in as well. There are still dramatic elements that keep the show grounded as the case continues next week.

Sword Art Online – “The Temperature of the Heart”

Another “side story” episode that introduces another character in the series. There is some action, some humor, and as well as some drama wrapped together in a neat little ball for us to marvel over. As always the environments are beautiful and the dragon looks pretty good as it is all computer effects. The fight to survive continues next week in SAO.

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic – “Dungeon Suite”

A solid second outing of “Magi” as we learn more of the characters and get a look at the 1st dungeon in the series. The visuals remain impressive and while there isn’t THAT much action, it is still entertaining and the tension is certainly there as Alibaba & Aladdin continue to make their way through Amon.
