Yoda Fights Darth Maul for Some Brisk


Yes. Before you read any further, the answer to your question is a certain, emphatic Yes, George Lucas has sold out…again. This time the murderer of childhood nostalgia has re-joined the evil forces of Pepsi-Co for a new marketing campaign coinciding with the 3D re-release of Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace.

In all honesty, this fight between Yoda and Darth Maul is pretty cute and whimsical, but is at the end of the day, it’s just another opportunity to shake your head at George Lucas and ask “What the f***?

Star Wars was the pinnacle of film success at one point in time. It was the perfect combination of visual effects and an engaging story, but now it’s just a cheap marketing tool.

I’m gonna go ahead and stop myself before I go down that familiar road of fanboy rants and raves…an argument with which I’m sure we’re all very familiar and very, very weary of.  What do you guys think? Sound off below.
