Who’s In And Who’s Out For San Diego Comic-Con 2012

Showblitz reports that after skipping last year’s convention, the two major studios this year appear to be Marvel Studios and Warner Bros (who have booked a three-hour slot on Saturday) with the first footage for Iron Man III, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and Man of Steel respectively. Don’t worry, those aren’t the only studios in attendance though! Legendary Pictures is expected to bring Pacific Rim to the con, with Sony possibly tagging along with Total Recall but it’s currently unknown whether Paramount will appear to bring footage for their upcoming slate, which includes sequels to G. I Joe: The Rise of Cobra and Star Trek.

As usual, Twilight *shudders* will be coming for their annual presentation in Hall H. Universal may bring The Bourne Legacy and R.I.P.D. there too, but it’s still up in the air. Nevertheless, it’s shaping up to be a fantastic time for geeks everywhere! Out of all the major studios, Disney is the only one left (2oth Century Fox won’t be coming) but it is expected to show footage for Oz: The Great and Powerful, Wreck-It Ralph and maybe The Lone Ranger, although there were reports of the budget balooning to $250m and the movie being way behind scheduled so don’t get your hopes up. What do you think of the line-up? Sound off below.
