Ton of New Avengers News and Photos

We’re getting closer and closer to The Avengers release and the news just won’t stop coming. This latest bit comes from the newest issue of Empire Magazine, which features a ton of new photos. Check them out below:

From the looks of things, it doesn’t seem like Tony Stark is sporting his best suit of Iron Man armor. My guess…it got destroyed in a drag-out brawl with the Hulk. Empire has even tried to clear the air on the subject, stating that:

And here’s a few more interesting tid bits coming directly from the head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige. It has to do with the mysterious aliens and Red Skull’s possible cameo…so pay attention!

“Who said they were aliens?” he teases. Beings from the Nine Realms, then, ventures Empire? “Closer…It’s not Skrulls, I’ve been clear about that. Beyond that, we want to hide it. The identity of the alien race is not impactful. It exists in the comic books, but we’re not setting up the Kree-Skrull war or anything like that.”

“Was Skull vaporised at the end of the movie, or thrust into another realm?” asks Feige. “That remains to be seen. It would be fun to see Skull in future, but he’s not in this one.” Whedon though is a little more circumspect when Empire confronts him. “I do have a comment on that,” he says, before pulling a move worthy of Loki himself. “It’s…oh, you’re breaking up!”

And here’s a bit from a CBM user who claims to have received an advanced copy of the issue. So take this last bit with a grain of salt:

Captain America has a scene in Stuttgart, Germany, with extras getting drunk outside a theatre playing “Wagner’s Ring Cycle” before Loki shows up.

The Avengers will span the globe like a Bond movie.

Feige thinks Renner is a possible scene stealer.

There is a scene with Thor and Iron Man in the woods at night, the one we saw with Cap in the trailer I guess.

The solo adventures will be referenced and Cap will learn the fate of Peggy.

The scene with Loki in a big museum like building is a German court house. He comes out and gives a massive speech about subjugating humanity (‘You were made to be ruled’) and tells the crowd to kneel. An old German man says he’ll never kneel to anyone again and Loki attempts to vaporise him with his staff when Cap uses his shield to deflect the beam. Cap replies ‘Men who want to rule the world end up getting just 6 feet of it’. Loki then whoops Cap’s ass but Iron Man shows up just in time to capture him and take him back to the SHIELD helicarrier… Which is just what he wants.

They go on to describe the E23 footage and how Feige saw ‘We have a Hulk’ all over the internet afterward. He praises the writing saying that they cut out lines that would be the best lines in an average movie. And someone is getting validation…Cap will tell Hulk to SMASH!

The post credits scene of Thor was shot in 3D and Whedon hated it. He was originally going to shoot in 3D and decided to convert it in post. Whedon jokes about his reputation for killing characters, he says Cap’s death will come out of nowhere and be hilarious.

The studio determines the movies they make, not the director. Feige says ‘We are incredibly hands on in a way that a lot of filmmakers have no interest in dealing with’.

The incredible floating budget is said to be $300 million.

So what do you guys think? Awesome? Disappointing?
